The ROUND INLET FILTER used on the E5LM pump in both the single and dual pump versions of the T1 hangers needs to be modified prior to installation. All kits shipped from early 2025 and on will already have this process done, but if you would like to double check the picture below shows the original and modified versions. The modified version will be roughly 4.5mm where the unmodified piece is closer to 6.5mm.
In it's original configuration the nipple and metal support ring are slightly too tall and this results in the filter attempting to be crushed when installed in the hanger. Both portions need to be trimmed down 2mm:
This can be achieved a number of ways, but be careful not to get any debris from this process inside the filter. You should plug the hole that attaches to the pump, and cover the filter element in something like blue masking tape. Once you have removed the material it can be stripped back of these protective measures and be installed on the pump.
